Ellie Jane Goulding, born December 30, 1986 at Hereford England. Her mother Tracey Goulding Summers worked in the supermarket, while her dad Arthur Goulding was a member of an undertaker's family. Goulding is the second child of the family, has an older sister named Isabel along with one younger sister, named Jordan. Alex his younger brother is the Bass. Alex also is part of a band from Hereford. Alex was encouraged by her mother to learn music at the age of a small girl. As a young girl, she began taking classes in clarinet. At the age of 14, she began writing her songs, but she didn't start writing songs until after her college period. Goulding began to become fascinated by electronic music as she studied. She met Frankmusik who was a producer of records through MySpace. Through his guidance, she developed her own folktronica style. Jamie Lillywhite, a scout at the time who was also her manager for some time before taking on the A.&R position in the university talent contests, came across her. Lillywhite then introduced her to music producer Starsmith who assisted her to make her debut single Under the Sheets on November 15, 2009. Her next project was the album Lights. Even though they released the album Under the Sheets via the label independent Neon Gold Records, she had already been signed to Polydor Records. The album reached the top spot on January 14th, 2014. Delirium her third studio album was released on November 6, 2015. It received positive reviews. Her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance for the album which featured the track 'Love Me Like You Do' from the 2015 movie Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. Brightest Blue, her fourth album, came out on the 17th of July, 2020. The album was released in The U.K., it debuted. It was the top album chart.
